Traditional granary (ambarı), view from complex entry

This granary is positioned beside the entrance to a dwelling compound (the two-level house with upper-floor gallery is beyond). The granary has two sections with different roof shapes, and the foreground portion is built of wood framing and horizontal plank infill with exterior beams to reinforce the walls. The structure is set on stones to protect it and the stored grains and flour from the dampness of the ground.
